I have a signature, but I never see it after any of my posts. Is it showing? I have signatures enabled. Is it showing? It’s not particularly witty… fnord! ---

I turned your signature on. You have to click the “show your signature” box each time. ---

So what you’re saying is that after every signature change, “show your signature” needs to be checked anew? Gotcha, thanks. I feel grateful and violated 😉 If that’s everything, then this thread can be closed. ---

… I don’t see it anymore … I have clicked and unclicked that box several times, making sure to save after clicking it. I feel stoopid. ---

EUREKA! Before each post, I need to check that box. I’ve never even noticed that box before. I blame everyone except myself. Pointing and laughing is warranted, but a mod can feel free to let this thread die now :o ---

I swear I hit that box on my last post. One last test… Oh, I see. After “preview post” is clicked, the box needs to be hit AGAIN. I can FEEL the learning. ---

I find sigs much more annoying than avatars, so I never switch them on; I don’t see anybody’s signatures. So when people refer to them as though they contain pertinent information, I have to click on their profile to see it. ---

I find that both are capable of making me dislike a poster who I may think highly of otherwise. It is hard not to look at someone in light of the picture or quote that they think summarizes them. ---

I don’t view sigs as being a self-summary necessarily. They can be all sorts of things. Witty-or-not remarks, links to favored sites, ascii graphics, etc etc. ---
