I’ve checked with the powers that be, and they said that this is okay, so here it is. In what is probably a vain effort to declutter my life, I’m trying to get rid of the things that I no longer want or need. None of the used book stores in my area will take these books as they mainly handle romance novels, the local library doesn’t want them (“Too esoteric.” ), and I can’t sell anything on eBay at the moment, so if anybody wants these books, they’re yours provided you pay for the shipping and packaging. (You don’t have to take all of them, just the ones you want, BTW.) Most of my books are paperbacks, but I do have a few hardbacks as well, and most of my books are in near mint condition (I’ll be happy to scan and email pics to anyone who wants to check the condition of the book before they request it.) Rowe The Road to Wigan Pier George Orwell David’s Toolkit: A Citizen’s Guide to Taking Out Big Brother’s Heavy Weapons Ragnar Benson Light in August William Faulkner Schickel on Film Richard Schickel (hardback) Lolita Vladimir Nabokov Extraodrinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds Charles MacKay Ulysses James Joyce These are just a very small example of the books I have, and if enough people express interest, I’ll list the others I want to get rid of. I’ve got books on everything but child rearing, so if there’s a subject you’re interested in, you can drop me a note, and I’ll see if I’ve got something on it. The only categories of books I’m not going to be getting rid of are my machinist books, automotive books, space related books and cookbooks. Everything else is fair game. **Tuckerfan** let me just say that I think your priorities are completely whacked. You can never have too much clutter - just build tunnels with your book stacks :p. That said it’s possible I might be interested in some of your history-stuff myself, depending on what you have and after **Rand McNally** gets first pick of course. may i suggest operation paperback? this org. gives you addresses and guidelines to send books to the military. there are units in the mid east that would love to have something to take their minds off of car bombs. i did what you are doing last summer. i spread a large amount of books around to various people and places. gives you some space for new books! ---

I will gladly take the Faulkner and the Orwell off your hands. Also when Tracy Lord is finished looking I would like to see any of the theater books you have. Would also be interested in any books you have on Film or Comics. And a more complete list of the fiction you are parting with. Thanks this is better than chistmas. (I’m not a christian, so take that to mean what you will) ---

There are lots of American soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq who would really appreciate you sending them some books and magazines to read. I send books through [booksforsoldiers.com](http://booksforsoldiers.com/) I have gotten thank you letters from the soldiers, even from the wives of the soldiers telling me how much they appreciated a box of books from the US. The postage rate is APO, which means it costs the same as sending books to the US. ---
