# Does Captain America have to work out?

Related question - Is Captain America actually commissioned as a captain in the US Army / S.H.I.E.L.D.? Or is it just a ceremonial title?

Like can he ever be promoted to major or lieutenant colonel or something?

He can resign and be replaced by someone else who isn’t even in the military. So I’m guessing not an official rank.

Well if he was still in the service he probably wouldn’t be in the Avengers at the same time.

Also I think the Super Soldier Serum is in addition to other things a myostatin inhibitor.
