# Does Casey Kaseem do the Voiceovers for Movie Promotions?

I was listening to an ad for a new movie, and it struck me that:

1. the voice always seem to be the same-a male voice
2. the voice sounds a lot like Casey Kaseem (the guy who does the pop music top 40s)  
Am I correct?

There are a number of men who have done many voice-overs for movie trailers. There’s a list of some of them here:

Casey Kasem does voice-overs, but I don’t believe he does them for films.

He does the voice-over for Shaggy, in _Scooby Doo_, but I’ve never heard him in a film.

[Neither](http://voicechasers.com/database/showactor.php?actorid=1806) [of the websites](http://www.filmreference.com/film/45/Casey-Kasem.html) quoted lists any work Kasem has done for movie voiceovers. Coincidentally, it looks like Casey’s reign as king of the countdowns [is coming to an end.](http://radiosyndicationtalk.com/2009/06/06/premiere-radio-networks-pulls-plug-on-kasem-countdowns/)
