Along those lines, and consistent with the spread of choices among doctor types, about 16 years ago or so my then very old car was finally going to cost more to fix than it was worth and I was trying to decide what new car to get. Some other docs in the lounge (an ophthalmologist and and an oral surgeon I think it was) tried to tell me I should get myself something sporty - my reply was that I was renovating my kitchen, that while they cared about going zero to sixty, I cared about grilling my veggies: I bought my first Civic and a Thermador with the center gas grill.
That car btw lasted me until I drowned it foolishly trying to ford (yeah, “ford”) a flooded underpass. Y’know, Civics float! Just not for long.
