These songs aren’t necessarily my favorites, but the ones most identified with/played. Many of these are agreements with earlier posters, but there seemed to be debate, maybe too much debate…  
U2 - Sunday, Bloody Sunday.  
Rolling Stones - ‘Satisfaction’  
Guns ‘N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle  
Metallica - One  
Clapton - DEFINITELY Layla  
REM - NOT Stand. The One I Love (this one goes out to…)  
Bowie - Changes  
Van Morrison - Brown-Eyed Girl  
Jethro Tull - Aqualung  
Doors - Light My Fire (regardless that the band hated it after a bit)  
Alice in Chains - Man in the Box  
Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water  
Allman Bros. - Ramblin’ Man  
Ani diFranco - 32 Flavors  
Lisa Loeb - Stay  
Radiohead - Creep(to casual fans)  
Jane’s Addiction - Jane Says  
Cure - Lovesong (only b/c more people cover it)  
Pogues - If I Should Fall from Grace with God

Pixies - Debaser

yeah T’Pau, they only had some hits a few years ago and China in your Hands was the greatest, still I like the song and they are on my winamp playlist so I added them 🙂

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Fire (Hendrix cover)

Ya, I know this ain’t about covers, but when the Peppers got fired up and doing outrageous encores. Fire was the one they did. Flea has a big ol honkin hendrix tatoo as well
