I don’t know why he told me this but we were eating dinner in a tofu-intensive restaurant at the time. Anyway, the Chinese people eat a lot of tofu and ain’t none of 'em gay. According to my host, anyway. ---

Well, given the spate of ‘[herbivorism](http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120696816)’ in Japan and their renowned use of soy products, maybe there is something to this seemingly asinine assertion! :dubious: ---

To be fair, I lived in China two years and a lot of Chinese people told me that homosexuality was, if not common, existent and that it was more or less ignored in the legal sense.
