# Does every state have a "Governor's Mansion" residence for the Governor?

Or PA, or MT, or … then again, that’s not supposed to be a comprehensive list in the first place. It’s just a list of the wiki articles in a given category, and there are plenty of governor’s mansions nobody’s seen fit to write an article on.

Well, there’s another Wikipedia list just of [governors’ mansions](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Governors%27_mansions_in_the_United_States), although it’s also missing the one for [Kentucky](http://governorsmansion.ky.gov/).

That’s also just a list of the ones they happen to have articles on - it’s titled “Pages in category "Governors’ mansions in the United States"”. Click on the “Template:US Governor Mansions” and you’ll get a list of all 50 states, most of which are like the Kentucky link, leading to a page which says “Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact title.”. You might also note that the Massachusetts link leads to an article explaining why Massachusetts does not have a governor’s mansion, so don’t take the link as meaning that it has one.

As does Montana, but it just does not look like a “Governor’s Mansion”:

Ha! Have you been to Rutgers lately? That looks more like a Princeton eating club. Rutgers was falling apart when I left.
Trenton is the capitol of NJ. However, The Governors Mansion is in Lawrenceville, one town away but really a WORLD away.

I see that I am wrong…It’s in…Princeton? Where I live? I still think it’s LAWRENCE, though, not Lawrenceville.

Colorado has a [Governor’s Mansion](http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-2817171-colorado_governor_s_mansion_denver-i). In addition, Denver has a [Mayor’s Mansion (Residence)](http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/rm_resources_organizations/article/0,1797,HGTV_3784_2397045,00.html) although he doesn’t live there.
