Yes but in order for it to really work several things have to happen at once
- You find a set of good coupons for an item you like (ebay, tons of papers, etc)
- The item you like goes on sale before the coupon expires
- The store will let you use more than 2 of the same coupon
- (option) it is double or triple coupon day
I don’t see many double or triple coupon days anymore. I don’t know if that is because of extreme couponing, or just the fact that I live in a different town. But it can be done. I also notice many places do not double coupons anymore.
Example: I would wait until Jack’s pizza were on sale for 2, then get .75 off coupons to get them for $1.25. Normally they are $3 each.
Or I would buy pasta roni when it was on sale for 1. With .50 off a box double coupons I would save $1 and get it for free.
