I prefer not to caveat them and not respond when the responses are moronic. I assume the people who knew what I meant in the first place see the flamer for the moron he is. And, I assume the people who agree with the flamer won’t get it ever, or will find additional tangential things to nit pick. That’s not to say I won’t clarify something if I was ambiguous in my writing. But, I don’t play the “semantics game” or whatever you want to call it. Anyway, I don’t get bothered when I get flamed. I’m always more of a disagreer than a “me too-er”, so it’s not rare that I get flamed, and it would waste too many brainwaves to dwell on it. ---

And it’s always the same few assholes who do this, too. They just ignore the points and put words into your mouth and keep ranting. I figure that some people just aren’t happy if they’re not pissed off at something or someone, and they’re not going to let minor points like what you actually typed get in the way of their bliss. It used to get to me. Then I realized a lot of them were Asperger’s waiting to happen, and it stopped bugging me. I guess it comes down to the fact that while most people on the board are just looking to have a good time, a few are here just because (a)It’s easier than interacting with _real live people_ who have different tastes, and body odor and stuff and (b)They would get the ever-living shit kicked out of them if they pulled this garbage IRL. Just try to remember that the flamers are here, because they can’t function IRL. Then log off the messageboard, go out and enjoy _your_ RL.
