They needed a fourth person to help paddle the second canoe. It was the first extended canoe trip I ever did. Great trip! ---

And at least at my local Walmart for one particular brand, $49.99 for 70 egg-equivalents of powdered egg. ---

No, it wasn’t; the pastor of the church I attended at the time, who was also a head of a college ministry, was also a Friend of the Boundary Waters and at that time, it was his 30th-ish trip there. I’d had a semester from hell, and a week off-grid with 8 other people was just what I needed.
