I found this site because I was curious about her accent. Didn’t think people were discussing the topic. I like her accent and she is unique and top notch anchor .

The thread you’ve found is 11 years old, but there’s plenty of other good stuff on here as well.
As a Brit myself, from Newcastle upon Tyne in the North of England, I don’t sound anything like that, but it wouldn’t raise eyebrows if I bumped into someone that does. (Also, most of us don’t have dramatic music underpinning everything we say - more’s the pity).
At first I thought the title was referring to her name. Sounds like a children’s doll who says mean things when you pull her string.
