# Does MS Word have this line-counting feature seen in the legal world?

I’ve seen court documents in which each line is numbered on the left margin. Does MS Word have this feature and how can I activate it?

Yes it does.

Go into Page Setup/Layout. Click the “Line Numbers” button. You will see various options.
