Does one's manner of dress affect one's work?

If you sneak up on me and cover my eyes, I probably can’t tell you what I or anyone else in the room is wearing (unless I was just ogling someone).

So no, I don’t think it affects the work I do.

Where is that acceptable? If you can’t stand to shave everyday, grow a beard–& keep it neatly trimmed. Don’t look like a bum.
