I’ve expected a break out of typhus in San Francisco for awhile. It’s only a matter of time. Runoff from contaminated water gets into home gardens and the drinking supply. Fleas and lice get carried by hosts. ---

How do they do that on an escalator? Do they stand up and let go while riding up and down? Is the esclator not working at times? ---

I didn’t re-read the whole thread… Did anyone ever, at any point, provide a cite that San Francisco was actually any worse in this regard than any other city? ---

I don’t think so. Fwiw, I walked into the main public library washroom in Vancouver once and someone had crapped in one of the sinks. It happens, no need to lose your shit, there are 8 million stories in the naked city, and a lot of them involve poop. ---

We were previously aware of tensions between staff and the manager/owner, and after the sink-pooping incident decided that some forms of protest weren’t worth risking our G.I tracts. ---
