I’ve visited here a few times on my Android phone. Everything is so tiny that its hard to click and open a thread. My finger is wider than the thread title. 😉 pinching/zooming helps. But the volume of threads makes me finally put down the phone and boot my pc to visit here. I’ve heard about Tapatalk. I know it supports vbulletin. But the sdmb uses an old version. Does Tapatalk work well on this board? Experiences? Is each forum set up individually? GQ, Cafe, Imho or is it just one huge forum? How does the SDMB look on Tapatalk? How about the number of threads? is that handled well? would another forum App be a better choice? ---

Yes. It looks similar to how it does through the browser. An outer “Main” forum, with everything else inside of it. Things will only appear in one big “forum” if you pick the wrong tab (like “Trending”). Not sure what you mean by “number of threads.” There are a good handful, and when you scroll to the bottom it loads more. ETA: may have been fixed, but I remember search was broken on my Kindle version and it took some work to find the SDMB. Once you visit it once, it’s added to your list. ---

I use it all the time. The only thing I miss is not being able to preview before I post. ---

I’ll add that polls will not be visible in Tapatalk. Other than that I like it and have used it for years. I generally use the unread header. Sent from my LG-V495 using Tapatalk ---

No polls on Tapatalk - I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll probably use the pc most of the time, but the phone is a nice alternative to booting my laptop. thanks ---

As I posted before, if the devs would add a single line, then zooming in would, at least on some mobile browsers, make the we site font bigger. The site is so close to being at least moderately mobile friendly, since it was designed back when dynamic resizing was in. All they need to do is add \ ---

Works great , I mostly use Tapatalk for browsing here rather than a PC or web browser. The only thing is the box where you type the response in is only 3 short lines , size wise. For longer responses I tend to type it into the mail app, then cut and paste. If you are playing mafia where you need to scroll back and forth between posts it’s a bit of a pain, and applying formatting such as colour or bold is also tedious. ---

I finally understand the concern for NSFW precautions. In ihmo someone linked photos in a thread. Tapatalk automatically displayed them even before I opened the thread. Yikes :o thankfully they were office safe.
