I’ll try for the next one, but I do tend to get shy around large groups (and God knows the MADs comprise a large group), so I’ll probably be hiding back in a corner somewhere until I get enough alcohol in me to open my mouth (but hopefully not so much that I end up sticking my foot in it - there’s a fine line!).
I saw a lot of what’s now called “Leet Speak” in the computer hacker world long before it showed up in the first-person shooters. Go look at old archives from alt.2600 and some of the other old “haxor” forums.
Although some of the speculation and discussion along those lines is fun. Did you realize that the U.S.S. Enterprise is run by a Linux system (I believe it’s the Red Shirt build), the Death Star runs on Windows DS, and the Alliance ships use Mac OS XXXXX? There is some speculation that Picard is a closet OS/2 Warp user.

There is a kind of exam question on the medical students’ torture fests (check with recently graduated Irishgirl on this) that offers two statements, then your choice on the truth or falsity of each, and your opinion on the degree of relatedness.
That is, you can have true, true, related; true, false, related; false, true, related; false, false, related; and the same pairs with “unrelated”.
As per the above statements: False, true, unrelated.
