# Does the Freaks and Geeks Season One DVD Have Closure?

I am thinking about putting F&G into my queue on Netflix, but I know it was a single season thing. I loved Undeclared and was saddened when it just went away.
If I watch the whole season of F&G, will I be left hanging?

Well, I certainly wanted more, but that’s because they wrote such great charcters, and they hadn’t had time to exhaust the possibilities. But it did certainly have an ending. It certainly closed the doors on one section of life, or one set of choices. The fact that it opened a whole new set of doors was frustrating, but not quite in a “I feel cheated, where’s the end of my show?” \*Wonderfalls \*kind of way.
I’m sorry I can’t be clearer, but I don’t want to ruin the ending for you. I heartily recomend renting it - I never saw it when it was on TV, I rented in a few months ago and loved it.

**Wil** , I’ve only seen the pilot, but it definitely left me wanting more (even though I’m sure a good deal of the show will “hit too close to home” for me). I think you’ll appreciate it.

Agree with the above, with the exception of the **Wonderfalls** comment. I thought they did a reasonable job of trying to tie up a few loose ends on that show ( while still leaving a number dangling, to be sure ). However **Freaks and Geeks** absolutely did it better. On that I can agree.
But I still feel cheated on losing both shows. Especially F&G which really could have survived with just a bit more care and support - ultimately **Wonderfalls** was probably just too quirky and snarky to make it with a big, non-cable audience.

I watched the show only when it was first aired (though I’ve got the dvd set on my amazon wish list) - I can’t tell you the number of times I actually cringed in remembered mortification or sadness (usually with some tears), or laughed with remembered delight. This was one of the best shows out there and I still am bitter that it was cancelled.

I bought the DVD set with my poor college student pennies when I found out the set was out. BEST $70 spent.
The last scene of the series had this…sad, yet not depressing, hugs-and-tears sort of closure. You know there could be so much more, but it wasn’t to be.
