# Does the U.S. Constitution need a "Right to Vote" Amendment?

In light of [this,](http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2013/07/23/2340941/nc-voter-suppression/) I say we need this amendment – or some better-worded and broader-reaching one – now more than ever!

Would you kindly post proof that such a meeting ever occurred? And would you post proof that asking for a government issued ID somehow causes someone to lose the right to vote?

**What** right to vote? That’s the whole point here, there ain’t one and there should be.
