Depends on why he opposes it, obviously. But, internationally, there are plenty of left-wingers who would criticise the CCP, from the left, for being insufficiently socialist (or for being barely socialist at all; socialist in name only). Trotskyites, for example. (And there’s no reason why that criticism couldn’t be voiced from within China as well, though of course we might not get to hear about it.)
Criticism of the CCP is not inherently a right-wing position; you have to look at the substance of the criticism to evaluate it on whatever left-right spectrum you are choosing to use.
