Last night I was talking to my GF about clothes we remember wearing in our childhoods, and I remembered something I used to wear. I kept trying to explain it, and she kept misunderstanding until I was able to point out a specific example. I’m wondering if this garment has a name, and if one can still buy it. (Should one want to embrace the retro look.) -It’s a shirt, most likely made of cotton. -It’s a pullover, as opposed to having buttons. -It can be worn by either gender. -It was popular in the mid-70s, but probably originated in the late 60s. -It’s very loose-fitting. -It has a V-neck. -The sleeves are about elbow length, and are hugely seriously wide at the ends. Think bell-bottoms gone haywire. The might be described as angel wings or butterfly wings. -The colors are truly groovy. They might be tie-dyed or batik. They sort of look like a cross between a hippie style and African. -Anyone who wears one probably knows where to score some groovy weed. Any idea what these shirts are called? ---
