When an advertising executive says that Budwiser is the king of beers, or everybody loves Dunkin Doughnuts, do they really believe it? Asking this sort of misses the point. They say it because it promotes the brand. Trump is the same way. Although his claims are more like [this ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guMrgRKKENI) except while the producers of the ad are poking fun at the absurdity of the claims, Trump plays it straight. ---
