Leaving aside that “is it cheating” varies from relationship to relationship, I think that teledildonics with another person counts as partnered sex and with a program counts as masturbation. ---

With a pro, not so much; with a “friend,” absolutely. Anyhow, the answer to the OP is clearly that it varies from couple to couple. I would expect that most people would count it as some type of infidelity. I would certainly be operating on the assumption that my wife would consider it infidelity or, best case scenario, not be very happy about it. Always best to err on the side of caution unless you’ve discussed it and are clear on the boundaries. ---

Wouldn’t bother me if my SO did this. If her goal was simply to get off and there was no emotional attachment to the operator, who really cares. There are periods of the year where my hours are ridiculous. I do perform my bedroomly duties on occasion at those times but probably not at the frequency she would prefer. In fact something like this would really make me feel better if she enjoyed it, to be honest. I get the feeling this wouldn’t be her deal though. ---

There is only one definition of infidelity that makes any sense, and that’s not keeping whatever agreements you have with your SO. So, the question becomes, what would we want in our agreements with out SO’s? My wife is quite clear about her requirements, and this would be off the table without the need for a discussion. I’m not the jealous type, and my guess is I’d even be OK with an open marriage, but having never actually tried that, I’m just guessing. So my most honest answer is, don’t really know, and won’t find out. I don’t think I’ve ever felt a specific emotion of jealousy. The closest I’ve come is envy: I wish that girl had picked me rather than him (but I remained friends with both). But then, maybe I’ve just never been in the situation. ---
