I think that yes they need to be locked up securely in a hospital for the criminally insane for life. Absolutly positively NO release whatsoever. I know a piece of shit who predated on young girls repeatly…He did eight years…and I’m sorry but I doubt he’s reformed at ALL. True the root causes vary tremedously in cases of rape…but most of the time someone who would do something like that is just SO sociopathicly fucked up…That’s basicly the root cause. Sociopaths are basicly not human. Sorry, but someone who rapes is not a good boy under a guise of a bad boy. Most criminals are basicly folks who made a mistake…However, one third of criminals are also batshit fucked up.
Rapists are the totally lowest scum on earth,whatever the law, if a female loved one of mine was raped whether violently or not ,I would be very tempted to take the law into my own hands.

Huh. Honestly, my gut says they should be tried, imprisoned when found guilty, and given the chance to recuperate and learn why what they did was wrong and be reviewed periodically to see if they can be functioning members of society.
No one should be killed on a rape charge. It really dosen’t strike me as an execution level crime. Actually, the only thing that does hit me emotionally as worthy of execution is mass/serial killing. As in 15+ bodies. Then I start thinking death as the only way, primarily as an “its easier and more fool proof way of keeping them out of society” thing.
How do you recuperate someone who enjoys violently raping people?
“Learn what they did was wrong” - is there any person of normal mental abilities who does not know that is wrong? I’m going to assume that a violent rapist knows it’s wrong and does it anyway.
And most important, how do you determine that they are “cured” and can be released back into society? Former FBI “profiler” John Douglas pointed out in one of his books that the problem with rehabilitating criminals is that rehabilitation is done by talking to them, cognitive therapies. And these criminals tend to 1, be extremely manipulative, and 2, really want out of prison. So what do you think they’re going to say? “Oooh, I really want to attack that bitch and tear her apart” or “rape is wrong and I’ll never do it again”?
I would prefer to lock them up and throw away the key. If you destroy someone’s life, such as through violently raping them, I don’t think you should ever have the chance to live yours freely again.
