# Does your new state ID suck as bad as mine does? (Texas)

Same for Iowa - a large color photo with a smaller, also color photo. I think the smaller one might be hologram-ish, maybe? I was even able to get away with a slight, closed-mouth smile on this one (for several years the Iowa DOT people refused to let you smile at all for your ID photos - joke was on them, though, cause I renewed my drivers’ license a few years back online and just used my previous, smiling picture. I had to finally update that one in 2020 to get a Real ID, then got this pic last fall when I moved).

That isn’t true. They’re still allowed to fill positions giving road tests.

Maryland. My RealID license is actually better looking than the old ones.

While the Maryland flag can be polarizing, personally I really like it and I like that they used it as the whole background.
