& # 8 8 0 0 ; I put spaces between each component character to keep it from rendering; you, of course, should not do that. Don’t neglect to notice the semicolon at the end, it’s part of the deal. ---

When I’m not in a vBulletin browser window, I keystroke it with a simple option-equals, but vBulletin turns ≠ into a “?” so that doesn’t work. In fact, if you preview, or go back to edit your own post, it will display as ≠ in the “edit post” window (instead of ampersand #8800 semicolon) then change to “?” when you post it. So don’t forget to _not_ preview if you include a not-equals sign in your post or you’ll have to edit it back. ---

Here’s a trick with preview that someone else mentioned. When you’re using characters like this, don’t make your changes on the current page. Use your browser’s back button, and the original code should appear. ---

Works for me with Links 2.1Pre20 in graphical mode under Kubuntu 6.06.1. In fact, everything except & #8752; shows up fine. ---
