I don’t think this was an accidental shooting. The poor dog was being fed both dry and canned food. Sometimes the food bowl was loaded correctly, sometimes it wasn’t and sometimes it was completely flipped and there was cat food in there instead. The dog had the motive, means and opportunity. Maybe he missed once but this ain’t over yet. ---

I’m glad the police collared the suspect. We need to nip these shootings in the bud. The law needs more teeth, IMO. ---

And in Jan 2013, a [FL dog ran over his owner](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/16/james-campbell-dies-dog-car-accelerator-run-over_n_2488730.html)… that dog also got off scott free. Clearly FL is just soft on canine crime.
