I’m with you with on being careful about dogs in hot cars… but how does a dog die on a cool day with the windows open? What kind of definition are you using for “cool day?”

The OP of the thread I linked to mentioned that Sunday was a “cool spring day.”

Something I’ve learned by reading last night: A cracked window won’t help a dog or baby left in a car. Maggie died on a cool spring day so the outside temperature doesn’t really matter. I suppose a winter day might be safe but I wouldn’t want to risk it.

No specific temperature was mentioned.
