Interesting bits on “the beat”. The defence attorney came in hot, and was told by the judge to lower the temperature. He basically threw all the talking points. Prosecutional malpractice, Biden vengeance for hunter, trump was faithfully executing the laws of the us. He did slip up as when the prosecution got to speak on the date of the trial. They had quotes of him on a Sunday show saying he has read mike pence’s book twice, and was preparing his cross of him. Oops. Team smith is on it. Team trump is hampered by the client. ---

Why schedule the case just before Super Tuesday? One reason could be that that was the best the judge could do to balance the need to get this case rolling within a reasonable timeframe while also dealing with all the other cases on her calendar. It’s not like she doesn’t have anything else to do. Picking dates for trials and pretrial hearings is as intricate as figuring out the NFL season’s matchups. ---

It makes absolutely no difference what date the judge picks - before the primaries are over, its “primary season”, afterwards its “real campaign”. The only way to be fair is to ignore the political aspect of it entirely. ---

As part of our intake packet, we literally have a document entitled “Impact of social media on your case”. It advises clients not to talk about the case online. I normally tell clients that the first thing the prosecutor likes to do is check their social media accounts. Of course, it’s typically in relation to something like a DUI. So I tell them not to put up pictures of them barhopping (but it could extend to things like not trying to be a gangster online. donald is like the worst teenage wanna be gangbanger, with the fake gold who is always showing off cash). ---

I’m thinking November, 2022, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it seems to me that it is impossible that neither he nor his team, have been working on this for three years.
