I just learned today that Dom Famularo - drummer, music educator, interviewer, inspiration - passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023 at the age of 70.

Even if you have never encountered him before, please do yourself a favour and have a hunt for him on YouTube. Here’s the main source for his interviews - [https://www.youtube.com/@TheSessionsPanel](https://www.youtube.com/@TheSessionsPanel)

And here is one of my favourite Drumeo videos of him. If you start from the beginning, you’ll hear what a great drummer he was. If you click here, you go directly to his outlining of the four stages of learning - [https://youtu.be/PaHoX-xmhxE?si=ytSpGa6jBYSLG6Fy&t=179](https://youtu.be/PaHoX-xmhxE?si=ytSpGa6jBYSLG6Fy&t=179)

And he was always so positive, so enthusiastic about the craft of music! He will be sorely missed!

May his memory be a blessing to us all!

I get that, despite the number of musicians on the board from amateurs to pros, not many of you have heard of Dom Famularo. That’s okay - I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, but we interacted on social media, and I was always impressed with his generosity and enthusiasm.

Here’s a link to the [Drumeo video](https://youtu.be/5cIzMRTQ8So?si=p8khpJXTXqsHU3gm) where they reminisce about Dom - if nothing else, check out the first five minutes and savour the joy in his relationship with the kit!
