Howdy people. The domain [www.caughtatwork.net](http://www.caughtatwork.net) is me. It is hosted through Yahoo Geocities. I registered my domain name through them when I signed up. For the life of me, I can’t actually work out who is my domain registrar. It’s probably [http://domains.yahoo.com/](http://domains.yahoo.com/), but I can’t seem to be able to confirm this. A search on my domain at [http://www.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois\_nic=caughtatwork.net&type=domain](http://www.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=caughtatwork.net&type=domain) shows that Melbourne IT is my registrar, but when I go to renew my domain early, Melbourne IT tells me I am not registered through them, but I could possibly be registered through one of their resellers. Aha! How do I find out who I am really registered through ? My registration is not due to expire for another 3 or so months, so I can wait until someone sends me a renewal notice, but with all the scamming going on from ‘fake’ registrars and given I can’t remember who I actually registered with, can you worldly and wisdomly folks point me in any particular direction. I’m hoping for a factual answer to find our who the actual reseller/registrar is, so I’ve posted in GQ. Many thanks in advance. ---

Some registars let you transfer your account to them for renewal. You just give them the name & they do the rest. That’s useful if you find someone who is cheaper.
