About six months ago I was staying at a hotel in San Diego after being delayed for a flight and for some reason EVERYTHING near me was closed at 11PM. EVERYTHING. McDonalds, Wendy’s, Domino’s. Every single local eatery, even the bars were closing despite the fact it was a Saturday night. Had to walk nearly a mile to an all-night bar that served burgers to actually get something to eat.

So yeah this could have saved me.

Because the vehicle might be closer to your house and get there quicker? Also, you don’t have to tip a driver.
