Now if the left would’ve pushed to strike down civil forfeiture that’d sway me a bit in that direction. But the left loves statism and I don’t. ---

I swear, Lester Holt had better ask some of these questions during the debates. This whole “It’s not my job to ask anything other than cupcake questions” is bullshit. Hell, might as well let TMZ start doing the debates if once-respectable organizations like NBC are going to chicken out and bail on very legitimate questions. If we’re going to hear about Hillary’s damn emails, then ordinary people need to know the record of Trump’s fraud. ---

The Trump Foundation troubles have definitely attracted NBC’s attention, plus he will be well aware of Trump’s plan to reintroduce unconstitutional stop and frisk polices (and by extension, racial profiling) in black communities. I’m not expecting a repeat of Matt Lauer’s performance - remember that it reflected badly on Holt’s employer. ---

I understand that impeachment is a political process and not a legal one, but I don’t think voters would support impeachment unless we were talking about Oval Office crimes. The one exception might be is if Trump ends up actually being prosecuted criminally to the point of legal jeopardy. It’s moot anyway because Trump would have to piss off republicans first. But if he didn’t carry their water, who knows… ---
