I think it was mean to accuse our first Black president of being born in Africa. It was mean to accuse Senator Cruz’s father of being part of the JFK assassination plot. And to say his wife was ugly. Or to set up fake charities to funnel money back to yourself. Or a fake college to defraud people. It was mean to say our intelligence services were wrong and Putin was right. I’m sure there are other things that might explain why people are mean to him, but they’re not coming to mind right now. ---
