I’m surprised everyone has resisted the obvious joke of “he has no heart.” My speculation is that how Trump feels, deep down in his id of ids, is childish fury at how unfairly he’s being treated, coupled with complete confidence that he will prevail in the end because he’s a brilliant strategist. One wonders what he’s hearing from his legal team, such as it is. According to just about everyone who has disengaged from Trumpworld after spending significant time in it, the only way to stay in Trump’s good graces is to tell him what he wants to hear - if the truth is bad, the messenger gets excoriated and quite possibly fired. If his lawyers are soothing him now, that’s all the more reason for him to view everything as a temporary setback from the meanies. ---

There are only two kinds of people to Trump - people who kiss his ass and people who are mean to him. He is apparently feeling that the later group is much bigger these days, which could be disconcerting. Or not. I’m not sure he is capable of _feeling_ anything. He is the most joyless human I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen him genuinely smile or laugh. There is zero evidence that he enjoys time with this family. His life is boring. He doesn’t take vacations or travel for fun. Yeah, he plays golf but only at his resorts. He hated traveling to other countries when he was president and didn’t do any sight-seeing on his own because he is not curious about anything. I doubt he did any sight-seeing in the U.S. either, the country he claims to love. He lives absolutely in a tiny world that just includes him. The only “happiness” he seems to find is hearing his name screamed by people he detests. If he wasn’t such a pathetic excuse for a human I could almost feel sorry for him. But I don’t so I guess that makes me mean. ---

If it turns out to be true that you sold or gave secret materials or documents to adversarial countries, that makes you a fucking traitor.
