Yeah. The reason the Washington press tippytoes around the candidates is because they’re afraid of losing access. Hopefully this is showing that not having access can be just as fun - plus you don’t have to actually attend the stupid rallies! ---

[/QUOTE] You are referring to an author who wrote a book called “The Way of the Weasel.” EVERY Adams column is full of linguistic outs, conditional clauses, and ways whereby things he claims can be interpreted as correct irrespective of what happens later. Just in his last column he predicts both a Clinton victory and a Trump victory in November. Adams really doesn’t know what he’s talking about and his obsession with hypnosis was only briefly correct in terms of the political process. ---

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but I would have thought before hearing his nonsense the past few months that if anyone would avoid being weaselly, it would be him. His comic strip, and apparently that book, seem oriented toward _calling out_ people for weaselliness. Just generally, I have trouble reconciling the seemingly creative and incisive mind behind the comic with the annoying dumbass who came on Bill Maher and wrote these blog posts. ---

Odd, but not strange. Read a Biography of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and you wonder how come it was that a weirdo and ignorant peddler like him (spiritualism and fairies) came up with the greatest fictional consulting detective in history. ---

Meanwhile, in a revelation that will surprise absolutely noone who’s been following this thread, NBC reports that [Trump lied last week when he said he was converting his $45 million loan to his campaign into a donation](http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/after-saying-he-forgave-loans-campaign-trump-won-t-release-n601596) - despite his insistence on the 23rd that he’d be filing the paperwork on that day, they found no FEC records indicating that he’d done so, and his spokesperson refused to provide any proof of the filing. ---

Being good at one thing doesn’t make you good at another, after all. I am very good at some things and would look like a complete doofus were I to attempt others. As a result, though, I tend to avoid doing things I know I am bad at, which is what most people do. One of Adams’s self-admitted personality traits is that he will attempt basically anything and does not particularly care if he fails or looks stupid doing it. ---
