As somebody once said, don’t get into a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel. ---

Illinois Republican Senator Mark Kirk, generally considered to be among the most at-risk Republicans up for re-election, is running a campaign ad in which he sounds positively Democratic: - Supports a hearing for Merrick Garland - Supports a woman’s right to choose - Feels Trump is unfit for the presidency None of this is new news; the ad quotes recent newspaper articles on each point. Even so, he's actively distancing himself from Trump and his own party leadership. ---

Trump’s fuck up with the Articles of the Constitution reminds me a little of Palin’s infamous “Uh, all of 'em” response when asked which newspaper she read. “Mr. Trump, which Articles of the Constitution do you feel apply most directly to this question?” “Uh, all of 'em!” The Constitution is not a very long document. It’s not unreasonable to expect a candidate for President to have a good grasp of at least the basics. ---

Has Trump said anything official yet about the shooting in Dallas? Will he show some class and presidential chops, or simply throw his base another dose of raw meat? I know the way I’m betting. I fear the shooting may give, in the macabre way American politics works, Trump a major boost in the polls…the politics of fear is a well-known phenominon (sp). ---

Trump already mishandled the Orlando shootings, he and his staff were really pissed that it did not boost him in the polls. The biggest surprise to me would be to see him act presidential. ---

I know the content of the constitution very well, but I couldn’t tell you what article states which concept.
