> I’m no Trump fan but didn’t Alan Greenspan suggest printing more money to help the debt just a few years ago? It’s not that ridiculous a suggestion. Now, if you print too much all at once, you’ll get hyperinflation - but there are still levels you can print more money at that might tick inflation up a tad but it still can help in the short term.

In a very measured and monitored way. Not printing up $20T…which, btw, is roughly twice the total US money supply. Nevermind that the President doesn’t have the power to determine Fed policy.

Not many people know this, but Trump is a terrific dancer.

Trump is better looking than Churchill. He is a better dresser than Churchill. He has more hair! He tells funnier jokes! And he can dance the PANTS off Churchill !!!

The Trump campaign approved a [prominent and vocal white supremacist](http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/william-johnson-american-freedom-party-delegate-trump-california) to serve as one of their California delegates.

Great job, Mr. Trump! Keep these hits coming!

> Unlike Bachmann or Cain, Trump had an even weaker grasp on intro-level Republican dogma, instead ranting like a drunk on a bar stool (“Bomb the shit out of ISIS!”). In debates, rather than use the standard tactic of mouthing pabulum that sounded vaguely like a substantive response before pivoting to his preferred message, he dispensed with the pabulum altogether, relying instead on vague, repetitive bragging and grade-school-level personal insults of his opponents. He puts down his opponents’ beauty or their height, or simply smirks at them. **His appeal operates not at a low intellectual level but at a sub-intellectual level.**

Nailed it.

> The candidate “took steps to appropriate much of the Republican National Committee’s financial and political infrastructure for his presidential campaign,” the New York Times reports. Having spent around $40 million on the primaries, Trump, **who claims to be worth as much as $10 billion** , insists that “he may need as much as $1.5 billion for the fall campaign, but that he will seek to raise it from donors.”

Why not self-fund? Even if it turns out to be a waste, it’s not like it will hurt him financially.
Unless he lied about his worth. Naaahh, that couldn’t be it.

Trump gets control of the RNC, spends as much of their money and time as is allowed on his campaign, leaving the down-ballot races sucking for money.

Are we absolutely _sure_ he’s not a Clinton plant?

I’m planning to vote for Clinton, but I have to admit that I don’t think she or her advisors are really up to _that_ level of devious chicanery. (Not necessarily an insult.)

On another topic: So, the Donald is now–despite having run on being ‘self-funding’–soliciting major donors to fund him, and will likely stiff the GOP by emptying its coffers.

So, how do I go about trademarking “The Scamchurian Candidate”…?

With all due respect to Hillary’s intelligence, I have a hard time crediting her with that much imagination.

I don’t think it can be 100% ruled out, based on [this, from the Washington Post:](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/bill-clinton-called-donald-trump-ahead-of-republicans-2016-launch/2015/08/05/e2b30bb8-3ae3-11e5-b3ac-8a79bc44e5e2_story.html)

>
> Former president Bill Clinton had a private telephone conversation in late spring with Donald Trump at the same time that the billionaire investor and reality-television star was nearing a decision to run for the White House, according to associates of both men.
>
> Four Trump allies and one Clinton associate familiar with the exchange said that Clinton encouraged Trump’s efforts to play a larger role in the Republican Party and offered his own views of the political landscape.
>
> Clinton’s personal office in New York confirmed that the call occurred in late May, but an aide to Clinton said the 2016 race was never specifically discussed and that it was only a casual chat.

More recently, on Colbert’s show, [Bill demurred](http://www.politico.com/story/2015/10/bill-clinton-denies-calling-donald-trump-2016-run-stephen-colbert-214499) about the whole thing.
