You don’t need an organization for trade, you just negotiate! Like, say, we contract a million dollars for a hundred thousand pounds of jute from Gabon. We load up the ships, then tell the Gabon Minister of Trade “Here’s a check for ten thousand bucks, take it or send in the Gabon Marines!”. Buy, cheat, and sell, dear. What could possibly go wrong? ---

Down home Tex-Mex chili has become a contest between jalapeno masochists. Spice is good, but shouldn’t dissolve the plaque off your teeth. Slow cooked brisket bar-b-q, however, could form the basis of a missionary strategy. Just give the natives a bite and promise them if that they accept Jesus, they’ll get more when they die. ---

Nonsense. Northern New Mexico cuisine has Tex-Mex beat all to hell, and that’s not just my usual Texas antipathy talking. You want bland, eat Tex-Mex, you want wonderfully spicy, go Albuquerque and Santa Fe. ---
