If he had said - “RIght now - 2nd amendmant folks have a choice on who they elect” I would give him leeway. But since he was clearly talking about what the '2nd amendment folks could do IF Hillary was elected" There is no other reading of it but a call to ‘armed insurection’ or a directed threat on her. ---

Frankly, Republicans usually get away with this shit. This is only notable now because, for the first time, a candidate is actually feeling some negative repercussions for saying crap utterly at odds with the very notion of a peaceful, ordered society. ---

But Sharron Angle could speak in sentences that contained a subject and a verb. The way Trump throws word salad into the air, his rants are subject to over-interpretation. It’s possible that he meant something innocent, but it’s hard to tell. ---

Careful, if Democratic voters think it is going to be a total blowout, many could stay home, thinking their vote is not necessary. Surprise upset due to voter apathy. I have a very dark sense of humor and I must admit that I smiled before I realized who had said it and what it could mean. I’m glad he’s getting hammered for saying it but I feel bad because I don’t think it was meant as a threat. He made his bed though so he does have to lie in it. I can’t imagine myself saying what he said but I have definitely said inappropriate things about death and dark subjects. I don’t think I’d say these things in a political event where all eyes are on me but I’m not 70 years old. I could very well have lost my filter completely by then. That’s not to excuse Donald; if anything it’s an indictment of the wisdom of electing this 70 year old. ---

Trump is setting up very low expectations for the debates. Just by avoiding the making of death threats and menopause insults he’s going to let Republicans and swing voters feel that he’s become presidential. He’ll make a bunch of promises, like the child care tax deduction, that really benefit the affluent but sound good to the lower middle class, and get a bounce. It could well be he’s an idiot. But I sure hope Clinton’s people don’t count on that. ---

I have a question. I was watching some talking heads and one of them said “America has a short memory and the election is over 90 days away. There is time for Trump to recover.” Really? Are we humans or freaking goldfish? I get a year or more but 90 days? Is that even possible? Do you have troubles remembering 3 months back? This is truly frightening to me. What do you consider past the American attention span? ---

But sometimes you have to realize “Shit, man, do you realize how that sounds to some people!” and keep it to yourself. ---
