I am actually not, and have never been, particularly concerned about violence either near or after Election Day. Yes, I agree Trump’s rhetoric is dangerous, but I just don’t see anyone, even his most rabid supporters, DOING anything about it, especially not if it involves putting their own necks on the line. I think they’re just like their hero: a big talker, but not so much a doer. ---

I can see certain of his followers showing up outside polling places in Philly and harassing voters: “Are you registered?” “I saw you at another polling place, you’d better leave or I’ll call the police!” etc. This could lead to some people, especially minorities, leaving rather risking a confrontation with the police. It could also lead to some less than civil confrontations between voters and harassers. ---

There are some who truly believe that large numbers of Democrats are somehow cheating at the polls. (Any meaningful cheating would have to be either an inside job or some sort of computer hack and not people standing in line, but we’re not talking about people who think things through.) Some small percentage of them could decide on a so-called “second amendment solution”. ---

This has already been mentioned in another thread. The solution is call your bank and do a chargeback after you notify the campaign in writing (email is ok) that you withdraw permission to take donations from your account. Each chargeback will cost the campaign around $25 in penalty fees and if enough people do it Visa / MasterCard will suspend their merchant account. ---

I can easily imagine that in open carry states there could end up being groups of Trump supporters with long guns hanging ouy near polling places on election day. Even if they don’t actually confront people and just stand there peacefully with Trump signs that could be enough to intimidate a lot of minorities from voting. How many swing states are open carry? ---
