In ancient times it was called “tell me who your friends are”. Now it is “Personnel is Policy”.
IMHO the media is letting Trump get away with this very damning condition in his campaign. The media needs to have a horse race at all costs.

It appears in the last scene that he’s going to use a battleship to keep Mexicans out of New York. Pathetic!

Trumps ad campaign will be pretty much FEAR, followed by SMEAR.
Sadly, campaigns like this usually work pretty well.

It’s pretty sad that as defective as Trump obviously is, Hillary’s only winning Nevada by 2 percent. Knowing something about the West and Southwest it’s not entirely surprising given that Trump’s running a different kind of campaign that appeals to white nativists and the West has an abundant supply of them. But still, what this really means is that Trump has a very high floor in some of these places, and Clinton has a low ceiling. Seriously, I’m beginning to think he could make Jerry Sandusky his running mate and it just wouldn’t matter to a good 30-40 percent of the electorate.

This is why I’m going to disagree with those who dismissed the photo op in Louisiana. I think it’s potentially a big deal, and here’s why: to ruin Hillary Clinton’s chances, they’re not just going to be content to go after Clinton – they’ll go after Obama as well.
This goes back to this whole idea that white America is under siege. The area where Trump is visiting is probably going to be very white with a few blacks here and there. Who knows maybe being photographed with a few appreciative black families in communities like Baker or Zachary, LA will boost his polling to 1 or even 2 percent among African American voters.
But white voters in Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania…they’ll see this and the message will be put out there: Does your president care about people like you? He speaks when “thugs” get shot by the police, but when law-abiding people like you in suburban America are really in trouble through no fault of your own, you are forgotten in Obama and Hillary’s America. That’s the message, and believe me – some will buy it.
I can understand Obama wanting to stay out of the way, but he and Hillary’s press people need to get ahead of the story and at least schedule a visit for next week or something – anything. They really should have done this already. In the way or not, the fact is that Obama visited the affected areas of New Jersey immediately after Hurricane Sandy. He has not done that now and seems to have no plans to. And neither does Hillary, who sometimes displays an incredible degree of tone-deafness and lack of awareness for someone who’s been in the public eye for so long.

So I thought I’d share with you the latest ‘theory’ on how Trump’s going to lose the election and we’re going to fall into apocalyptic chaos as a country. I heard this today from my mother who said she heard it from a talk show host. Whom she believes.
Hillary will win the election. Be it through the stupidity of the American people or through rigging the election. But sometime between then and the point of being sworn in, the FBI will suddenly find reason to indict her. Thus, she will be unable to be president. And since they haven’t been sworn in yet, Kaine can’t become president in her stead. Because of this unprecedented occurrence, Obama will declare martial law and remain President indefinitely. Chaos ensues. All of our rights are taken away and we become a socialist dictatorship where all Republicans will be arrested and their guns taken away. All because people didn’t vote for Trump.

Not I. Reagan in '80 and Hillary in '08 dumped their campaign managers in the primaries; I can’t think of anyone who did it post-convention.

40 years from now, Obama will on his deathbed, and people will still think it’s part of some ultimate plan for him to declare martial law and take away guns.
