Does not matter to them. He FELT that it happened, therefore it did. His feelings are more important than the facts. This is the Republican party now.

If Trump loses the election 85% to 15%, get back to me. Otherwise, it’s a minority of Republicans who are dumping Trump. I would even posit that Wolfowitz has basically left the party at this point if he is considering voting for Clinton.

I expect it’s exactly like schools “banning” prayer: declaring that something is no longer _obligatory_ for all students is held to be the same as banning it. (Which is, pretty much, a dead giveaway that the person making the claim believes that students would never do the thing if it were _voluntary_.)

Also well done: the timing of Hitler’s line about Ann Coulter’s book tour now having to be cancelled–and immediately one of the secretaries started sobbing.

For some reason I can’t stop thinking about a line from “The Producers” - the original,not the 2005 travesty .
At the auditions, after The beatnik Ellis Dee - played by Dick Shawn - finishes his audition and lights up a banana peel, Max Bialystock (played by Zerp Mostel ) proclaims " that’s our Hitler! "
Don’t know why I’m thinking of that in this moment. The Brownback pick is just too on the nose to be anything but a deliberate attempt to pick the worst.
