Amazing how the man who has cheated on two of his wives is also arguing that men who have cheated on their wives should have no access to classified information.

> This is a wonderful story, but Trump will either completely ignore it, or say that everyone was doing it that way, and it would have put him at a financial disadvantage to do it legally, and as President, since he knows that kind of trick, he will be best positioned to keep others from doing it. And that Trump base will nod and say “Yes, he is uniquely positioned to stop it from happening! Go Trump!”

Actually, what I think Trump’s base will say is, “Yeah. Models. Not Mexicans. Fuck of cuck.” Or words to that effect.

She just needs to let him blather on, dig himself a hole, and fall into it. You cannot win a shouting contest with a guy like that.
>
> I describe useless arguments this way (especially marriage/relationship arguments, but it applies here, too): the other person jumps into a mud pit and shakes his fist at you, yells at you, insults you, provokes you, all to get YOU to jump into the pit with him/her and roll around in the mud. Do not jump into that pit. Just let them roll around, spewing garbage and getting dirtier and dirtier. If you jump in, you will BOTH be covered in mud. There is no winner in this kind of match.

Do you think her ads that simply run footage of him being hateful are bad for her?
An insult match would not be good. However a little dig that would make him go out of control and show what a lunatic he is would be useful. All while answering policy questions with real policy.

Well he already knows more about ISIS than “the generals,” so maybe he doesn’t really need access.

> Trump has supported positions and policies that strike a blow at the very core of being an American. He is a con man. He owes hundreds of millions to the Chinese, undisclosed hundreds of millions to the Russians. He has been a patsy for Putin, and likely still is. He has no experience with government or sustained systemic success. He has aligned himself with racists, Communists, and whoremongerer’s. He is temperamentally unfit to lead. He is as abusive as a spoiled five-year old. He hates Muslims, despises Hispanics, and holds women in contempt.
>
> So, I completely, absolutely refute what you say. Voting for Trump is more of a moral stain on America’s soul than supporting Stephen Douglas in 1860 because [we have seen how industrialization has transformed our ability to hate.](http://auschwitz.org/en/museum/news/) The facts are out there: This man has absolutely NO place being close to the Presidency. None.
>
> So people _should_ feel ashamed in voting for Trump and I have no problem telling you that you are a bad American for doing so because the last thing I want to see on November 9th is a bunch of assholes wearing armbands. Or coats. Or something, like what happened in Germany in 1932 when Hitler came to power and all the bullies in society decided it was OK to _openly_ be a bully. 55 million dead later, and we see how _that_ came out. Add nuclear weapons to this mix and we might have to multiply that number by 100 before the Age of Trump plays out.
>
> So deal with it: supporting and voting for Trump is a shameful position if you claim to love your country and what it stands for.
>
> (See, we Catholics have no shame in using shame. And, btw, we cannot STAND Trump.)

Vehemently cosigning this. I have said over and over that I have no sympathy for Trumptard voters and little patience for the liberal intellectual types who patronizingly act as though these voters can’t help themselves and should be pitied rather than abhorred.

How about if we just cancel the electoral votes of every state that is a net drain on the tax coffers?

Clinton does not have to _insult_ Trump to _attack_ him. She does not have to resorts to insults to make damaging insinuations.

“Donald, why won’t you release your tax returns? Every other candidate does, including me. Are you hiding something?”

“Mr. Trump insulted a Gold Star family. That shows a lack of respect for veterans and their sacrifices.”

“Mr. Trump, why did you call women `pigs?’ American women aren’t pigs, that’s a terrible thing to say. And why did you mock a disabled man?”

All perfect vicious attacks that put Trump on the defensive. But none are personal insults.

It’s not about “moral high ground.” This isn’t a moral issue. It’s an issue of strategy and effectiveness, of appearance and presentation.

I didn’t mean she should stand there and take it. (You didn’t really think I meant that, did you?) Just that she shouldn’t jump in the mud pit and roll around at his level. There should continue to be a \*\*CONTRAST \*\*between them, i.e., the ranting irrational lunatic and the rational well-informed adult.

Even considering the source, this is actually TRUE.

This is the problem with name-calling the name callers (i.e. jumping into the mud pit). It doesn’t make one goddamned bit of sense, but it creates an opening. It’s important for Hillary and her people to look like THE ADULTS IN THE ROOM-- not just a different gang.

Don’t take the bait.

I dunno, I got a kick out of her whining and then immediately defending Trump’s new dictionary word - “bigot”. As much as she actually seems like she has an idea how to make this a race, she’s still hooked on to the Trump Train, and ain’t nobody getting off it before it derails.

David Plouffe isn’t even associated with the Clinton campaign. He can divert Conways time and attention all he wants.

Remember: Every single second your campaign manager is on TV or talking to the press is a second that your campaign manager _is not managing your campaign_.

A. Is he even associated with the Clinton campaign?
B. This only reminds people of who has started the insults. And once nearly everyone has at least considered that Trump has problems (his doctor was very clear about him being physically healthy, and seemed to avoid claiming that he had no mental issues) the better it is. Even if it isn’t true.
Remember 1964? In your heart you know he’s nuts? Not true, but effective.
