I’m guessing they don’t get any charity panhandlers in Kalamazoo. (Or LaRouchites, political pamphleteers, Jehovah’s Witnesses or people with petitions.) Either they never showed up, or they all fled in panic after the cops left a trail of dead Greenpeace canvassers down the street. I mean, if a guy thinks “Have you seen the stampede?” is a possible prelude to assault, what would he make of the ACLU fundraisers who have more than once approached me with the words “Got a minute for gay rights?” ---

WW sounds a little bit timid, and not very streetwise. Personally I don’t think that he should be walking around on his own, let alone with a gun, and definitely not as a police officer. ---
