Pardon me - did someone _actually_ need clarification on the “woman sperm” comment? I know you just said they did, Diane, but were people actually too dense to figure out what was implied (figurative use of the phrase, at least, if not catching the KIH reference), or were they just looking for an easy dig? If all of the “lighthearted digs” were so lighthearted, it would seem to me a lighthearted apology would trip as easily off the tongue. That’s sure the case with me when I wound deeper than I intended. . . ---

Esprix, andros, whoever else was offended by Monty Python: I apologize. I must not have gotten the memo that said Christians aren’t allowed to joke about anything and we’re required to go around waving our hands solemnly and saying “Bless you, my child,” at ever opportunity. The movie I referred to that makes fun of Christianity, since the ability to actually read my posts seems to be running thin lately, is the one I quoted: Monty Python’s The Life Of Brian. I did not mean any offense by it - it was a scene that I thought was funny and wanted to bring up. You guys have your sensitivity meters turned up WAY too high. Bless you, my child. ---

I can’t access my email at the moment, but I’d echo the calls to shut this down. I understand that many here are not actively ragging on the situation of lee and kellym, but I can’t see that this would have gone so far without a purient interest in that angle. FWIW, I agree with Anthracite about the sausage and Spiritus about the substance. The thread was a bad idea. The subject of the OP has seen and accepted a resolution. Going on is just hurtful and ugly. ---

**Mojo,** I don’t believe grendel72 was saying that anyone actually SAID those EXACT words, just that that was the “spirit” of some of the comments. But then again, I can’t always see past the frothing, breastbeating, wailing and gnashing of teeth that’s been going on in this thread, and besides, there’s more kneejerking going on around here than at the Rockettes Christmas Show so I could be wrong.
