I just realized I have a hard time following instructions…the title of this thread is DON’T Bump This Thread. And here I am bumping it. I’m feeling shame right now. Shame. ---

Ah, **Beck**. In wrestling lingo, “taking a bump” means “getting seriously hit.” The referee fell out of the ring, and couldn’t get up for a while. Meanwhile mayhem ensued in the ring, with multiple wrestlers “bumping” each other–that is, they were seriously pounding the crap out of each other. ---

You’d think so, but referees practice this sort of thing. I was talking with the referee later; he said when he saw how things were setting up, he was prepared to get bumped. ---
