Happy Firday! It’s raining. Supposed to get up to 50 today and then get cold. I hope it doesn’t get icy since we are supposed to go to the armpit tomorrow. I woke up at 5 this morning and stayed up. Howdy Y’all! I have completed all my chores/tasks and have had some leftover chikin 'n rice. All is well here at da cave. **{{{Ruble}}}** so sorry about your friend. **{{{Doc}}}** sorry about your uncle. Pallbearer duty is not a fun thing but a thing that befalls us from time to time. It is hard wired in me that one does not refuse such duty unless one is physically unable to do so. I harken back to my fourteen year old self who was asked to be a pallbearer for a Sister-In-Law’s grandmother’s funeral. Mom was standin’ there and saw I had a look on my face that said “don’t wanna” and said, “he’ll be glad to do so” whilst givin’ me one of those southern mama elbow pinch death grips. Lesson learnt! ---

Thanks all. In a lot of ways I’m surprised there haven’t been more. Our last site lead did what he could to destroy our morale and he was the one that hired this inhuman tyrant. The New Guy; we tried to warn him but he basically let her continue her reign of terror. So two people in a bad place went that next step and cashed in. This one stems out of direct retaliation for my friend being one of two who had records that resulted in the Princess’s cohort and probable lover being fired for a sort of embezzlement. The Princess dodged that one (the other went under the bus) and now that she feels safe she is lashing out. Several of us have caught the wrath but because she was a semi-boss our friend caught the worst of it. It will be a sad time as we all look at each other wondering who will be the next one fired and react the same way. We got some people who are physically a lot stronger than they are emotionally. And right now we’re all in pain. I’ve studied places that have had clusters; did a paper on it 147 years ago in college. This place is ripe for something like that and now I need to decide if I want to make a fast bail. Our yearly offer (to get paid off to leave and never to return) is out there and it looks tempting. ---

I got a ‘do wanna’ at a funeral whenst I was a young teen. Auntie died & my mom knew the funeral director; they grew up together. When we were standing around waiting for everyone to get into their cars he lamented that it not only was a longer ride to the particular cemetery but he had no company. My mother is in her own home again. My sisters got her home this morning. I had stocked her fridge on Wednesday, and I talked to her this afternoon. That is the good news. This morning, instead of getting to help my mom, I had a root canal and had a cavity filled. I go back later for the permanent crown. So the early morning was spent in the dentist chair, not my favorite activity. In a little while I leave for the church, for our annual Wine and Food tasting. It is a popular pre-Lent activity. I am taking a bottle of wine called Dachshund, it is a Riesling. I also made some little meatballs in a sweet chili sauce. Not store bought meatballs mind you, ones I mixed and scooped and browned myself before they went into the slow cooker. ---

If I were at your church this evenin’ I’d be hoverin’ over and snarfin’ up the meatballs until you slapped my hand and told me to stop. I loves me some little meatballs in chili sauce! 😃 **Ruble** no help with the cleaver here. Also, I vote take the money and run. I’d suggest takin’ a meat cleaver on your last day but that might maybe kinda sorta be inappropriate. ---
