Pretty weak that some of you have to go looking for 1 and 2 year old threads in order to try to “get the goods” on me. Can’t find anything more recent to slam me with? Besides, so what that I like to discuss UFOs? All I’ve ever claimed is that I think that they _might_ be extraterrestrial in orgin. And I’ve had the gall to want to talk about the COMETA report. I’ve also quoted numerous scientists, military officers, and statesmen that happen to think that UFOs _might_ be extraterrstrial. So freakin’ what? Yeah, I argue with those that seem to dismiss them out of hand. Big deal. Understand the concept of devil’s advocate? Why is this so offensive and scary to you? I’ve never claimed to have seen a UFO, or an alien lifeform. I challenge any of you to try to find where I have. Or where I’ve written that they _most definitely_ are real. You won’t find what you’re looking for because I havn’t made such claims. But back to the topic at hand, yes, Collie IS being a jerk in how he refers to WB. Some of you think that if a member happens to post some educational information, that gives them a free pass to be an ass. I don’t understand that logic. I call that the PLD phenomena… Jerkish behavior is jerkish behavior plain and simple. Why should Collie get a free pass? Is there some kind of tally sheet being held that SDMB headquarters in which each educational post entitles you to 4 jerkish ad hominem attacks? His response to me in that thread was jerkish and so is just about every other of his references to WB. Why are you so blind? ---

**Krispy** I don’t much like people calling other people drooling idiots. But I also must be prepared to understand: there are drooling idiots out there. My limited experience in WB’s threads lend me little evidence one way or the other, and so I decline from justifying or slashing **C**. However, the thread you linked to was, not coincidentally I’m sure, a pit thread where such things are meant to be said. I also noticed that there was a significant amount of posters who also disagreed with your assessment of what this message board is all about. Such as, “and if the SDMB were designed as a vehicle for your entertainment, we might give a rat’s ass,” or “if you want a “refreshing break”, stop posting on an internet message board and have a friggin’ V8.” **C** ’s remarks were a little harsh, and no doubt intended to be read at face value, I ain’t gonna disagree there. Their relative truth value is outside the scope of my involvement. I don’t think linking to pit threads is a good way to get a handle on how a poster actually is. I have yet to find someone who consistently bugs the shit out of me to the extent I would need to say something like that here, but knowing full well that I have known people in my personal life that I would say something like that about, I must decline from bashing **C** back for it. I’ve only been here a few months. Anything can happen. **Collounsbury** Wierd-ass arguments? 😃 Well, as long as there’s a big enough stick to renormalize them we’ll all be ok.
