I hope we haven’t scared the OP off.

It’s easy to forget has much general knowledge we absorb over the years. Especially trivia about tv shows, music, and other things we actually experienced. I admit it’s surprising to learn that not everyone knows who Hawkeye and Colonel Potter are. But a lot of people born after 1990 never saw that show unless they happened to see a rerun.

I’ll ask a basic civics question. I had Civics in 9th grade. How long do members of the US House serve? US Senators serve how long?

and “so’s your old man.” I got that one from Cap’n Billy’s Whizbang. Now excuse me while I re-buckle my knickerbockers below the knee.

Here’s one for the OP: name a continent that does not start with the letter “A” (if there are two words in the continent’s name, neither word can start with “A”).

Or if you prefer, name the other 6 continents where at least one word of the name does start with “A”.

It’s a shame I know none of these. Not even Charlotte’s Web, although i’ve read the book a million times! But… Huckleberry Finn is Mark Twain right???

2. …where the president is??? (Not sure about that one)… Who makes laws legal, and … bluh.

3. I’m not sure.

4. Not sure, either.

5. God, I should know this.

6. Leonardo Da Vinci? Right??

7. …Poop.

8. I have no idea…

9. No clue.

10. Same as all the others.

11. Aw, man… I forget his name. And I don’t know why, actually.

12. Wasn’t it a big thing about gay rights? Like, a protest?

13. Man, I feel like I should know this one!

14. Biden, and … Palin?

Malacandra… I’m not sure. Although if what i’m thinking is correct, it has something to do with fire or lava. Halcandra (although it’s a planet in a video game) is a hot, fire-y planet. I’m a nerd and I will use my nerdy-ness to badly guess!

6. Puerto Rica?? Guessing again.

7. Damn it.

8. Sealand. But it actually claimed it’s independence. Uhh… New Zealand? Yeah?

2 years for US House Members and 6 for Senators. The President serves a 4 year term.

It’s ok. This is just for fun.

I actually memorized this with the 2,4,6,8 kids song. 2, 4, 6 are the three answers.

Willy Wonka/ The Candyman

A person must voluntarily climb into the cauldron knowing they will not emerge alive.

Flora, Fauna and Meriweather.

Stopper death.

Why are you named Romeo, but more generally, why, of all the people she had to fall in love with did it have to be the one guy her parents would approve of least on account of their families’ feud?
I’m afraid you’ve conflated the To be or not to be scene with the Alas, Poor Yorick scene, by the way. Don’t feel bad, many people think he’s got a skull in To be or not to be.

**ANSWERS (Which require further thought):**

1. No, you don’t. Why not? (FYI, Washington was the only president ever to receive a unanimous vote from the Electoral College.)

2. Ten years. Why?

3. What, uhm, happened between 1812 and 1815?

4. Yes, you should. The answer is contained in the question.

5. 1841 and 1881. Why?

**BONUS ANSWER:**

[![](https://weirdspace.dk/Disney/Graphics/HueyDeweyLouie.gif) ](https://weirdspace.dk/Disney/Graphics/HueyDeweyLouie.gif)

… And how can you tell who is who? (Don’t go by the link; the order is wrong.)

1. I don’t know!

2. Don’t know that either.

Instead of my telling you the correct answers, you’ll learn faster if you find them yourself with what I’ve already given you. If you’re homeschooled, you should know this already. (I’m a certified teacher, BTW.)
